The Deoria Tal in itself is a tiny lake. It is more of a pond. But the spacious lawns surrounded by dense vegetation around it make it an excellent spot for camping, sighting distant mountains, and star gazing.

On the Ukhimath-Chopta road in Uttarakhand, about 3 km above the villages of Mastura and Sari, is Deoria Tal, which is alternatively written as "Devaria" or "Deoriya." The lake is located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand state at a height of 2,438 meters.
It is a 3-mile hike to get to Deoria Tal from Sari Village. Several buses travel from ISBT Anand Vihar in Delhi to Rudraprayag OR from Rishikesh and Haridwar bus available One may go from Rudraprayag to Sari village via public transportation or by taking a cab, then hike to Deoriatal to get to the location.

Day 01 - Haridwar/Rishikesh to distance from Ukhimath to Sari village is 12 kilometers. You may get to Deoria Tal after a short 3-kilometer hike from Sari village. Jeeps that may be shared are available between Ukhimath and Sari Village, however, their schedules are flexible. To go to Deoria Tal, you may either hire or rent a taxi.
Day 02 - Chopta: Morning have to breakfast at your camp and check out.
Attraction: Early morning go sightseeing.

As the location where Yaksha asked the Pandavas to respond to his questions before consuming the lake's water, Deoria Tal has a legendary relationship to the Mahabharata. This area has maintained some mystical beauty due to its fabled past.

Trek to Tungnath Temple
A 3.5 mile, relatively simple hike may be taken to get to Tungnath Temple from Chopta (2700mts). Winters in the area bring a lot of snowfall, making it difficult to get to Tungnath Temple. Tungnath Temple is located at a height of around 3600 metres.
